DUCHESS OF BEDFORD’S VENTURE. LONDON, April 10. The Duchess of Bedford and Captain Barnard took off at 5.30 o’clock this morning for Capetown. Last August the Duchess and Captain Barnard made a record flight to India and back in seven and a half days. On that flight the Duchess, who is aged 64, took her turn in oontrol of the ’plane while Captain Barnard slept, .and she will relieve the pilots (Captain Barnard and Mr R. Little) at the controls on the present flight.
