SHEEP SLAUGHTERED
ESCAPED LEOPARD ABROAD. DESTRUCTION IN N.S.W. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received April 8, 9.45 a.m.SYDNEY, April 8. Farmers in the Goulbum district are convinced that a cub leopard, which escaped 15 months ago, is responsible for the slaughter of sheep in Tallong. About a dozen sheep have literally been torn to shreds in the last few nights. People have reported having heard a strange roar at night, and one nian said that he saw a tiger in the bush.
