. (From Opr Own Correspondent). BUNNYTHORPE, April 7. A meeting of , the Domain Board took place last week. Present: Messrs. J. Scheidt (chairman), W. J. Maxwell, R. C. Powell, J. W. Clevely, C. Anderson and W. B. Duthie, An apology for absenco was rocoivcd from Mr G. M. Ranson. The chairman reported on the ground committee meeting the Sports Club deputation on the Recreation ground with a view to considering tho proposed improvements to tho cycling track. Both parties had considered the plan submitted by the Domain Board’s committee such work to cost about £35. Tho chairman also reported that the Sports Club was prepared to share the cost on a very reasonable, basis. After tho board had considered tho report, it was decided to accept the offer of the Sports Club and have the work carried out at once. Messrs J. Scheidt and W. B. Duthio wore. appointed to havo the necessary work done. The first practice of tho football team took place on Saturday afternoon on the recreation ground. There was a good muster, but owing to the 'hard nature of the ground only useful practice was indulged in. The Bunnythorpe tennis team journeyed to Pohangina on Saturday and played a friendly match with the Valley Tennis Club, resulting in a win for Bunnythorpe team. During the day the visitors were entertained at most enjoyable luncheon and afternoon tea, Thre scores were as follow, Bunnythorpe being mentioned first: Men’s singles.—F. Patient 4 lost to G. Klink 9, F. Godfrey 9 boat R. Culling 8, W; Sutherland 9 beat W. Smart 5, 11. Robson 6 lost to R. Smart 7, B. Williamson 1 lost to H. Moar 7, H. Godfrey 5 lost to N. Moar 7.
