WONDERS OF SCIENCE.
Ocean going liners will in future be propelled by electricity. The first of such ships is now being built at New port, U.S.A. It is now possible by means of electricity to keep warm at the Poles, and cool at the Equator. Heat up to 1250 degrees Fahrenheit, can easily be provided by electricity. This has opened up wonderful possibilities in the iron and steel industries. By. means of electric w'elding it is possible to construct an all-steel building, eliminating rivets, and ensuring the joining of the steel floors and supports into one solid mass. This will revolutionise building - construction, especially in earthquake zones. It is possible to use electricity for all purposes in the home so that even matches will be unnecessary. . _ Radio has eliminated .time and distance.
