FATAL FALL

Per Press Association. NELSON, April 5. Tho death occurred in the Nelson Hospital to-day of Mr Eric V. Rodley, aged 33, who had been in the institution since Monday suffering from a severely fractured skull, the result of falling from an upper storey window at the Owen Hotel last Sunday night. Deceased, who was employed on plumbing work at the hotel, went to bed about 10 o’clock on Sunday night and was found on the ground beneath the window of his room next morning. There was an earthquake at Owen during Sunday night, and it is surmised that deceased when leaving his room may have mistaken the window for the door. Deceased was the eldest son of Mr H. V. Rodley, of Waimea Street, and leaves a wife and one child.
