CHILD KILLED.

A verdict that Robert Bruce McNae, aged 41 years, succumbed from a fractured skull received, as the result of being struck on Monday by a car driven by. 'Laurence Milton, Julian, motor service driver, wat 'returned by the Coroner at the t inquest to-day. The evidence, he said, indicated-that the driver did all possible to avoid the .accident, which, was caused by .the inadvertence' of the child. , The accident Occurred at five o'clock in a street in Opunake. The child, who-was on the' side of the roadway with his brothers, ran across just as the car approached. , He died in hospital the same evening, without having regained consciousness. ):•
