SUCCESS OF LONDON EXHIBITION. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 31. The Government on Saturday even> ing gave a banquet to the success which attended the Italian art exhibition at Burlington House,- which recently concluded, and which was visited by over 500,000 people. Lord Parmoor expressed the deep gratitude of the Government and people of Britain primarly to the ItaJian Government and to all others who had made the exhibition possible. He stated that it had brought together works of Italian art both from private and public sources, chiefly from Italy, but also from all parts of tlie world, and the museums of France, Germany, Hungary, Holland,- Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, the United States and Canada had generously lent cf their best. No fewer than 15 different countries contributed. The Italian Ambassador announced that his King and Government had conferred on Lady Chamberlain, chairman of the Exhibition Committee, the golden Italian medal.
