At Broadway, Newmarket, at midnight, Constable Hendren. observed an electric torch flash in the doorway of Howie’s gramophone shop, some distance away. He ran to investigate and arrested a young man named Robert John Boltoii, an Australia, who had been working as a labourer. Bolton had in his possession a screw driver, a file and a pair of pliers, also a seven-chambered revolver, loaded in six chambers. Bolton was charged in tho Police Court this morning with being found by night in possession of house-break-ing implements and a revolver, and was remanded for a iveek. It was stated that further charges will be made against accused
