BRITISH MOTOR CAR.
ALTERATION PREDICTED. LONDON, Feb. 24. Lobby correspondents confidently forecast a reduction of the motor car horse-power tax in the Budget to be delivered on April 14. It is expected that the tax will be 10s instead of £1 per horse-power. The revenue will be maintained by added duty on petrol. A reduction in the horse-power tax has long been urged by motor manufacturers. who declare that the tax has hampered British sales in the Dominions.
