CHARGES OF THEFT.

Two charges of theft were preferred against Sidney Thomas Nelson Nesbit, of Hastings, a painter, aged 23, before Mr J. L. Stout. S.M., in the Police Court yesterday. He was charged with the theft on February 12 of 10s in cash, a pair of shoes, tin of tobacco and packet of papers, of a total value of £2, the property of Albert Edward Grossi. of Palmerston North, and also with the theft on February 2 of a suit of clothes, pair of shoes and pair of trusers, valued at £5 4s, the property of T. A. Tremewan, of Auckland. On. the application of Senior-Detective Quirke a remand was granted until Monday.
