PRESS ASSOCIATION.
ANNUAL MEETING. Per Press Association. TIMARU, Feb. 20. Tho annual meeting of shareholders of the United Press Association was held this afternoon, Mr A. G. Henderson being in the chair. Tho annual report contained a tribute to the memory of the late Sir George Fenwick, who was tho last survivor of the founders of the association, of Messrs Kilgour and W. H. Smith, old members of long standing and Messrs J. Mitchell and N. Burton, old agents of the association. Resolutions of condolence were passed, the members standing. Messrs Henderson and W. Easton, tho only nominees, were elected to the two vacancies on the board. Rotorua was selected as the next place of meeting. At a meeting of directors later, Mr E. Abbey Jones was elected chairman for the ensuing year. Mr Henderson tendered his resignation, and Mr A. M. Burns was appointed to tho vacancy thus created. Housewives I Just arrived.
