CHICAGO CRIME WAVE.
CITIZENS TAKE ACTION. CHICAGO, Feb. 9. The Commerce Association has taken cognisance of the murder, bomb and crime wave and has demanded that the tide of crime be stemmed. The association states: “The recent failure of the lawenforcement bodies to check persons of known criminal tendencies can no longer be countenanced.” The association announced that a group of citizens composed of men of known courage and action would be appointed to prepare a definite plan of action.
