MARRIAGE LAWS.

POSITION OF DIVORCED PERSONS. LONDON, Feb. 8. The Bishop of St. Edmundsbury and Ipswich, in a communication to the diocese regarding the re-marriage of divorced persons, declared that the innocent party was entitled to be remarried in a church. He was not prepared to say that in no case ought the person against whom a decree was issued be married in a church. This viewpoint is at variance with the pronouncements of his fellow bishops, and is calculated to cause a controversy.
