WOMEN’S INSTITUTE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) SANDON, Feb. 8. Tho ordinary monthly mooting of the Women’s Institute was held on Tuesday last, there being a fair averago attendance. The programme for tho evening was in the hands of the younger members of tho institute, and a very interesting evenings amusement was provided. Miss I hylus Fagan gave a demonstration of pen painting. Miss Grace Ellerm conducted a competition, “Graduated Sentences," which was won by Mrs Tunnicliffo with a sentence of eleven words. Several choruses wero rendered, Misses N. and P- Fagan playing ukulele accompaniments. Mrs E. P. May handed in her resignation as secretary on account of leaving the district. The resignation was accepted with regret and appreciation was expressed by - Mrs V . E. Pearce and Mrs J. Bowater of the good work done in the interests of the institute Mrs G. T. Francis was elected secretary' for the balance of the year. The annual meeting is to bo held on Tuesday 4th March.
