NEW WIRELESS STATION.

ZLW, WELLINGTON. RECEPTION IN AUSTRALIA. Received December 21, 1.45 p.m. SYDNEY, Dec. 21. Australian radio experimenters report a clear reception of the new station ZLW, Wellington, which lately has been conducting tests with England on a wave length of nineteen metres.

ZLW belongs to the New Zealand Post Office and will be used for communication with the Pacific Islands. The equipment was manufactured in Australia by Amalgamated Wireless, Limited, which is also providing the latest appliances for the New Zealand Government’s new lighthouse steamer.
