ELEPHANT HERD.
NATIVE VILLAGE DEMOLISHED. WELTEVUEDEN, Dec. 18. Elephants demolished a native settlement in south Sumatra. A police detachment was ordered to chase the herd. Four of the men were cut off by the elephants, but returned after wandering through the forests for several days.
