“EPIDEMIC OF BURGLARIES.” Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Dec. 21. At the Police Court, William Alexander Robertson was charged with breaking and entering shops by night and with stealing goods. He was remanded till Friday. The police stated that accused was caught redhanded in a shop by the owner who struck him a severe blow, rendering him unconscious. The Magistrate remarking that there was an epidemic of burglaries at present, refused bail.
