The Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson and Lady Alice Fergusson arrived in Dunedin from Invercargill this morning and will remain there until Wednesday. Sir Charles attended a Rotary Club luncheon, and he will attend a Alasonic function tonight. Lady Alice will be farewelled by a big women’s gathering to-night. A Press Association message from Wanganui reports the death of All’ Robert G. AlcNiven, a well-known draper, aged 62. Air AlcNiven had been prominent in athletic and sporting circles.
