AN APPEAL FOR THE CHILDREN.
Nobody questions tlie fact that this is a philanthropic age. The Church has of late years turned her mind to the great social problems of life, and is doing all in her power to help those who need help. Practical Christianity is love of mankind shown in good deeds and service; “goodwill to all men.” Christ is in every unselfish movement of to-day, and to assist any such movement is to show ourselves as his disciples. All Saints’ Home is such a movement. The orphan, the motherless, the victim of poverty, find rest in the arms of the Church. There, children learn that there is someone who cares for them and love them, someone who will bring them up so that they will be able to earn their own living, someone who will train them in tho religious life. The good that is done is so far-reaching that it is impossible to measure the result. Will you, reader, be one of the helpers? One who by your sympathy and money will give those little children a chance. If you will then please send a donation to-day to Mr P. 8. Larccmb, 22 Rangitikei Street, with whom the Board of Management of the home has arranged to accept donations on its behalf.
