ARCTIC AIR MAIL.
FORT Mac Murray, Dec. 10. Carrying half a ton of mail, two ’planes ol the Commercial Airways fleet hopped off on Tuesday and opened Canada’s first Arctic air mail service. The ’planes headed for Port Ghipewyan, and expected to make the trip of 300 miles in three hours. The take-off was accomplished in a tenqierature of 40 degrees below zero. Perpetual cold liazo made the visibility only fair. Fort Mac Murray is on the Athabasca River, some 400 miles north of Edmonton, Alberta. Port Ghipewyan is on Lake Athabasca.
