AERIAL SUICIDE.
AMERICAN GIRL’S END. * NEW YORK, Nov. 13. “She came into our office appearing quite normal, and said that she wished to fly high,” stated Edward Booth, the pilot from whoso ’plane Ruth Rockwell leaped to suicide. “We went aloft and when at about 1500 feet I looked round and saw that her eyes were tightly closed. Thinking that she was frightened by her first flight, 1 tried to reassure her that everything was all right. She pointed higher and I ran up to 2000 ft. “Suddenly I felt a bump, which surprised me, as the air was smooth. I looked around and saw her falling through space a hundred feet away. She had gone through the rear door to her doom.”
