GERMAN POLITICS.

CABINET CRISIS PREDICTED. LONDON, Nov. 6. The Daily Mail’s Berlin correspondent states that a Cabinet crisis is predicted as a result of the Centre Party and the Bavarian People’s Party withdrawing from, the Reichstag committee, which is considering new measures enabling easier divorce. Monsignor Leicht, Leader of the Bavarian People’s Party, speaking at a great Roman Catholic meeting, declared that he could not support a Government which countenanced such measures. “The fight is for the maintenance or destruction of the family,” he added. The consequence of the wthdrawal may be incalculable, as without the help of the two Roman Catholic parties neither the Nationalists nor the Socialists can govern, and there may be a dissolution of the present five-party coalition, which will lead to a new grouping of political parties.
