MOTOR CYCLISTS.
NEW CLUB FORMED. Dissatisfaction among members of the Manawatu Motor Cycle Club was caused recently by the decision of the committee to alter the allocation of trophies for private riders and make them for open competition, and as a result, a meeting was held last evening, by the disaffected section, to form a new body to be known as the Orion Motor Cycle Club. There was an attendance of 40, including cyclists from Feilding, Rongotea and other outlying districts. The following officers were elected:— President, Mr J. Hodgens; vice-presi-dents, Messrs Ross, Meikle, H. Titshall and W. R. Miller; secretary and treasurer, Mr P. T. Robinson; committee, Messrs T. Bruce, E. Pink. E. Pasley, G. S. Woodward, A. Y. Lindsay, E. Hockon and Miss M. McCluckie; captain, Mr W. R. Miller; vice-captain, Mr E. Pasley. It was decided to hold an official opening run on November 17 and also a run to Waikanae beach on Sunday, November 24, to meet tho Wellington and Ixion clubs.
