(By Telegraph—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 5. A return presented to Parliament to-day shows that 16 wagon trailers have been for five years lying idle and discarded on public works jobs throughout the Dominion. Their total value amounts to only £3803. The number of workers’ houses built by the Railway Department at Frankton is 143. Only three are standing empty, but they will be occupied soon. , The number of departments housed in private buildings in Wellington is 18; the total annual rent paid for them is £14,938.
