SPORTING.

RICCARTON TRACK NOTES. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 6. The work at Riccarton this morning was not exciting, most of the horses doing easy tasks. J. T. Jamieson worked In the Shade and others of his team on the trial grass, where B. Burjjess also sent Atholspear, Spearmiss and Austerity, but their tasks were not serious. Silver Paper did five furlongs in 1.2 3-6, Aspiring equalling that performance. Gala Day and Aberfeldy jumped four hurdles well. Oriflamb, Pangolin and Heisler did the same separately. The previous day’s arrivals, including Seatoun, Yoma, Historic, Concentrate and Cimabue, did useful pace work. Kapuna, Francolln, Tembroney, Solma, Nine of Spades, Danthonia, Lord Middleton, the overnight arrivals, did light tasks. Tcheka arrived from the North this morning.
