SPECULATION AS TO END. PUBLIC WORKS STATEMENT THIS WEEK. \ ■ (Bv Telegraph—Special to Standard). WELLINGTON, Oct. 21. Members of Parliament are now speculating on when the session will ench Opinions differ, and much will depend on the state of Sir Joseph Ward’s health and whether he will be well enough to pilot his taxation bills through the House, as many amendments are sure to be proposed and this will be strenuous work. The Public Works Statement is expected this week. The Prime Minister has been gradually improving in health and it is nowannounced that he will be in th» House to-morrow.
