The carpenters were putting the finishing touches to the Discovery when Sir Douglas Mawson quietly boarded her to-day. . - Sir Douglas was accompanied by seven scientists, which completes the full complement of 40. Those who were approached were unwilling further to discuss Norway’s activities beyond stating that while they welcomed scientific co-operation, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa were primarily interested in the areas in which they are carrying out research. • • -
The Discovery will leave at noon on Saturday.
