A radio message has been received to the effect that tne Bretagne, which.was bound for Samoa front San Francisco, is a total loss. It is assumed that the crew are safe. , It is thought that the rnystenous S.O.S. received by the Bluff radio station was from the ill-fated vessel. There is some doubt about the ship’s identity.
