It i 9 officially announced that Mr Snowden has turned down the latest offer of the four Powers. DELIVERIES IN KIND. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Aug. 25. Reports from The Hague again tako a hopeful view of the situation, owing to the fact that another postponement of the conference of six Powers was agreed to yesterday, following a request by Mr Snowden for further particulars, and a written statement of the offer made verbally on Friday by the Belgian Prime Minister, M. Jaspar. Dr Stresemann this afternoon attended a meeting of the four Powers held to consider the draft of this written offer. The meeting had not concluded at nine o’clock last night, when it was adjourned until this morning. The reports state that considerable progress has been made with regard tf deliveries in kind, and although a coir plete agreement has not yet been react ed, there has been an appreciable im provement as to the amount of British coal which’ltaly will undertake to receive from Britain as part of her coal imports.
