BRITAIN’S PRIME MINISTER. MAY VISIT CANADA SOON. IMPORTANT MATTERS FOR DISCUSSION. (United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.—United Service.) WASHINGTON, Aug. 26. After he meets President Hoover at Washington, early in October, Mr Ramsay MacDonald may go to Ottawa to discuss with the Canadian Government matters such as Imperial trade, emigration to Canada, and the Imperial Conference. It is not likely that the Premier, Mr McKenzie King, will attend the discussions between President Hoover and Mr MacDonald. TO ATTEND LEAGUE ASSEMBLY. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Aug. 25. On his return from Lossiemouth, Scotland, Mr Ramsay MacDonald met several of his Cabinet colleagues and informally discussed events which had transpired during his absence in Scotland. The Prime Minister will remain in London until Saturday, when he will leave to attend a meeting of the League Assembly at Geneva.
