KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR.

BUS DRIVER INJURED. AUCKLAND, Aug 26. Through beinfj knocked down by a motor car in Penrose, Hugh Glover, aged 29 years, a married man, sustained grave internal injuries. Mr Glover is employed as a bus driver. He had been driving a service car and noticed another car owned by the same firm approaching from the opposite direction. Both cars stopped and Mr Glover crossed the road to speak to the other driver. He then stepped on to the roadway to return to his own car and was knocked down by a motor car driven by William McCardle, which was travelling in the direction of Auckland. The injured man was removed to the Auckland Hospital. His condition is fairly serious.
