THE WEATHER
GENERAL FORECAST. Pressure is still low to the east of Zealand, but is rising over the Tasman Sea. Winds mainly southerly generally and moderate to strong. Seas rather rough on parts of the Weyt Coast, but chiefly moderate generally. Moderate to fresh west to south-west winds and moderate seas in the Eastern Tasman. Weather still cold and unsettled with intermittent showers in most districts, but improving during the week-end. DISTRICT REPORT. COOL AND CHANGEABLE. The Government meteorologist telegraphed to-day: The indications are for variable and moderate breezes, southerly winds moderate to strong prevailing still. The weather will probably be cool and changeable with scattered showers, but mainly fair. The barometer has a rising tendency.
