AUSTRALIAN FRUIT MARKET.

SYDNEY, July 26. The need for proper organisation if Australian fruit is to hold its own against American competition in British markets was stressed to-day at the fruit marketing conference. It was stated that whereas there was an enormous crop of apples in Australia last year, tho position would bo reversed this year. Tasmania and Westralia were the only States with normal crops. Eight hundred thousand cases of American apples were marketod in England last May.
