CLERYGMAN RESIGNS.

HAMILTON, July 1. Bov. H. E. Jones has resigned from the Anglican parish at Fraiikton owing to the inability of the parish to meet his stipend atter paying charges on a debt of over £4OOO.

Mr B. C. Lowry, People’s Warden, of Frankton Parish, commenting on Rev. Mr Jones’s explanation that his resignation was due to the inability of the parish to pay his stipend, said that the parish was quite able, to pay. The resignation was to a matter between Mr Jones and the Bishop and would possibily be discussed by the synod.
