Received May 17, 11.15 a.m. SHANGHAI, May 16. The plans for the State funeral.of the late Dr. Sun Yat Sen, China’s reveloutionary leader, who died three years ago at Tientsin and whose remains were preserved in order that they might be deposited in a special mausoleum in Nanking, are almost completed. An announcement from the capital states that the burial, which is scheduled to occur on' June 1, will conclude with probably the most elaborate funeral ceremonies ever held in the Far East. The ceremonies will last a week. A special road has been cut through the heart of Nanking for the purpose of the procession, the Government ruthlessly demolishing thousands of native homes without compensation.
