TOKOMARU, May 16.
Mrs Norris, of Eketahuna, is the guest of Mr and Mrs R. Baylis. Miss Jean Forsythe is spending the school vacation with her mother, Mrs D. Forsythe. Mr E. Stokes is visiting his daughter, Mrs A. F. Ilcwison, of Takapau. Mr and Mrs E. Vaughan and family, of Wellington, are the guests of Mr and Mrs M. Morgan. Mrs F. llaley, of Awahuri, is the guest of her mother, Mrs W 7. W’ebb. On Saturday the local football team will journey ’ to Shannon to play the Shannon third grade team. The gamo will be played on the Miranui field and Mr T. Kohika will referee. The team to represent Tokomaru will be from the following: M. Sherman, B. Walden, S Free John YAung, R. Sadd, R. Bennett J. Matthews, J. Bennett, James Young, J. Hodson, M. Studley, R. Guy, R Walker, J. Irwin, A. Williams, A. Moody. It is pleasing to note that R. Guy has recovered from a slight mishap and will lie able to play on Saturday. Quite a number of ducks were obtained by local sportsmen during the recent spell of wet weather. ... Mrs J. Wells has been visiting hor daughter at Otaki.
