FOXTON

(From Our Own Correspondent.)FOXTON, May 15. A pleasing little function took placo at the C. M: Ross Go’s premises on Friday evening when Mr O. Anderson, who has been with the lirm for two years, was presented with a leather suit case from the firm and staff. In making the presentation the manager, Mr D. Christie,, referred to the good feeling always existing between the members of the staff. Mr Anderson' had always been attentive to business and a keen member of the stafT and the firm was sorry to lose the services of such a good employee. Mr Christie, on behalf of the firm and staff, wished Mr Anderson every success in his new venturff.

The usual monthly meeting of the Plunket Society was presided over by Mrs F. Robinson. Mr Trueman, treasurer of the carnival effort, forwarded' a statement of receipts and expenditure in connection with the carnival, which disclosed that the net proceeds of the effort amounted to £387 Os Id. Messrs Christie, Bergin, J. K. I-lornblow, Corn and Hewett were elected on the Advisory Board.
