MINISTER FAREWELLED.

BY BAPTIST PARISHIONERS. Rev. F. A. Crawshaw, who leaves to-day for Invercargill to take over the office of secretary for the Mission of Lepers, and will be absent for a month,.was given a farewell on Sunday at the Palmerston North Baptist Church. Appreciative reference to the departing minister’s faithful services during his two years of office was made by Mr E. \V. Holbrook at the morning service, and, on behalf of the members of the church, he presented hiin with a well-filled purse. Rev. F. A. Crawshaw returned thanks for the generous gift, and, referring to the loyal co-operation of the church members, expressed the hope that the church would continue to progress under Rev. C. H. Matthews, the new pastor, who will preach his first sermon on the first Sunday in May. .The farew.ell sermon was preached by Rev. F. A. Crawshaw to a crowded congregation in the evening, and an •fter-meeting was subsequently held.
