PREPARING FOR ELECTIONS. (Australian Press Association). LONDON, April 8. With the return of Mr Baldwin from Chequers to-day the general election rush commences in earnest. The Prime Minister will submit the Conservative programme to Cabinet on Wednesday.

There will be an ever-increasing flood of oratory by all the parties until May 30. Sir Herbert Samuel to-day is commencing a 3000-mile tour from Land’s End to John o’ Groats, inaugurating throughout Britain the Liberal campaign, for which 10,000 meetings have been arranged.
