BAPTIST BIBLE CLASSES.

ANNUAL EASTER CAMP. Members of the Wellington Baptist Men’s Bible Classes are holding their annual Easter camp on the Hokowhitu rifle range grounds, about 100 delegates from Wellington, Manawatu, Hawke’s Bay, Wanganui and Taranaki districts are in camp. Yesterday a welcome meeting was held when Rev. Crawshaw welcomed the visitors on behalf of the Palmerston North Church and Mr W. Carey, of Petone, responded on behalf of the visitors. The annual report presented by secretary, Mr H. Harris, showed a year of marked activity and *he assembly decided to recommend to the New Zealand Union that a forward move be made to extend the work by instituting several new activities and that, if possible, a travelling secretary bo appointed. Last night the annual oratory contests were held when Rev. E. Parsons, Palmerston North, acted as judge. In the senior contest, Mr Max Nelson, of Hastings, was awarded the Edmeades Cup; Mr Cliff Carr, Mr Ken Glover, both of Palmerston North, were placed second. Mr C. Wallis, of Island Bay-, was first in tho junior contest and Mr D. McKee, New Plymouth, second. To-day the annual sports are being held and tho camp concert takes place. To-morrow special Easter services will be held. Monday will be visitors’ day. The camp is under the presidency of Mr G. Scott, of Berhampore.
