DRAINAGE WORK.
SLUGGISH RIVER BOARD. Mr F. J. Foster presided over the monthly meeting of the Sluggish River Drainage Board to-day. Also present were Messrs E. C. Print, H. J. Wilton, D. S. Coulter and M. J. Ryan. The Local Bodies Loans Board wrote asking for further information in connection with the proposed £2OOO loan. The clerk was instructed to furnish the required particulars Contracts were let for the cleaning of Johnston’s Line, Longburn Line, Walsh Line and Lean’s Line drains.
