ONE CRAZED AVTTH DRINK

Received February 28, 10.5 a.m. SYDNEY, Feb. 28. AVithin 15 minutes last night, Eire Station-Officer Menzies, assisted by a policeman and a South Head signalman, prevented two men from throwing themselves over the Gap, at AVatson’s Bay. Ono man, who was maddened by drink, was within a few yards of the cliff when Officer Menzies grabbed and managed to hold him until a policeman arrived.

The other man told a story of an unhappy life.

The Gap has been the scene of many suicides and attempted suicides.
