The Chamber of Deputies, without a debate, passed the Naval Construction Bill providing for the laying down before June BO of one cruiser of 10,000 tons, six destroyers of 2400 tons each, and six submarines of 1500 tons, as well as a mine layer and several dispatch vessels and tankers. M. Leygnes states that no country wants peace more than France, but France must have ships to defend her legitimate interests.
