Honour finished in front of Philhpic over four furlongs in 50 2-5. Silvermine was several lengths ahead of Bright Glow at the end of five furlongs in 1.14 3-5. Catkin was slightly better than Briar Root over six furlongs in 1.20. Lomint was half a length better than Sir Russell over seven furlongs in 1.31 1-5- „ , Ceremony ran four furlongs in 49 3-5. . . Tea Queen and Optimistic did an easy four furlongs in 53. Speed Light covered live furlongs in 1.7. . , x Talisker and Perception covered ten furlongs in 2.16 4-5, the former pleasing. Corinnax, Papatu, Hoylake and Goshawk finish as named over ten furlongs in 2.15 4-5. The last round took 2.5 3-5. . . , Jolly Money was better than Archeno over five furlongs in 1.6 2-5. Pure Tea covered four furlongs m 50 3-5.

Harbour View (Oliver), Bizarro (McGovern), finished in that order after a good display over four hurdles. Mangaiti (McGovern) and Clockwork (Burgess) shaped well in a similar task. Royal Form (McGovern) and Uralla (Driscoll) jumped four hurdles safely.
