EGGS AND POULTRY.
PRICES IN WELLINGTON. (By Telegraph.—Special to Standasd)
WELLINGTON, Dec. 21. Egg supplies have fallen off rapidly with a consequent good recovery in tho price which is Is 8d per dozen for first grade hen eggs and the same for duck eggs. No seconds are quoted. There is a good demand for and a plentiful suj>ply of fresh poultry. Boiling fowls, 7s 6d to 12s per pair; chickens, 9s to 15s per pair; geese, 12s 6d each; 2s 2d per lb.; ducks, 9s to 14s per pair. The average realisations in England for Nbw Zealand eggs are on a parity with Is 6d per dozen f.o.b. LONDON MARKET DULL.
