MT. RICHARDS SCHOOL.

Mt. Richards School, Pohangina Valley, held its breaking-up on Tuesday afternoon,, when the building was beautifully decorated with ferns and flowers. The prize list was as follows: —Senior sewing: Rachel Port 1, Beryl Stevens 2; junior, Mae Stevens 1, Marjorie Port 2; senior writing, Vernon Port; junior, Edgar Port. Mr Bennett’s special : Beryl Stevons; Miss Fauchelle’s special, Alison "Wingate; progress prize, Vernon Port. Each child gained a prize for passing into a higher standard. The two proficiency candidates, Frank Roberts and Len Duffy, were successful.
