BLAZING BALLET DANCER.

CAUSES PANIC IN THEATRE. Georgians Urrutea; a 20-year-old ballet dancer, stepped too close to an open gas jet under the stage at Troy, New York, the other day, and her gauze-like costume caught fire. She ran screaming upstairs, and the audience, hearing the screams and seeing the smoke, bolted for the doors. Doris Miles and a partner, who were doing a singing turn, took in the situation, and Doris calmed the audience with a funny story, while her partner dashed into the wings and threw a blanket over the burning girl, saving her life.
