SUPREME COURT.

EXPECTED TO END ON SATURDAY. The present session of the Supreme Court, commenced'on Tuesday before Mr Justice Smith, will, it is expected, last until Saturday next. The list of business to be disposed of is fairly light, and gio-od progress has been made. Only one criminal case occupied the attention of the Court, and this was disposed of on Tuesday. Undefended divorce petitions and motions for discharges from bankruptcy were taken this morning. Civil actions etill await trial, but it is understood that a number of those originally set down for hearing are to be settled out- of Court. On Friday an appeal is to be heard against a conviction in the Magistrate’s Court on a charge of intoxication while in charge of a car. His Honour leaves here next Monday to preside over the Supreme Court sessions commencing at Wanganui next Tuesday.
