SHUNTER INJURED.

Yesterday, a shunter in the Palmerston North yard, Mr A. S. C. Franklyn, had the misfortune to be pinned between the buffers of two trucks during shunting operations. He received several bumps before the accident became known to the engine-driver. Under the circumsta 'js, he was fortunate to escape witn only a lacerated thigh. He was taken to the Hospital where he was reported to-day to be making good progress. The Hospital authorities to-day reported that the condition of Mr WFarmer, who was knocked down by a motor-cycle in Main Street on Saturday afternoon, shows an improvement.
