According to the annual issue of the journal of the Society of Motor Manufacturers, the output of British mo-tor-cars was more than doubled between 1923 and 1927/ The figures rose from 66.396 to 157,000. There was an equally setriking increase in the manufacture of commercial cars, which rose from 21,604 to 52,000 •
